Species Distribution Information

This longspur is seen in Washington in winter only. It winters in grassy fields, grain stubble and on shores.This species winters from British Columbia south, along Washington to northern Californa, then across the entire US except for the southern states. It nests along the western coast and in central Alaska as well as from the Yukon east.
