Species Distribution Information

This sandpiper is found in winter along the coasts of Washington, Oregon, California, Baja California and Mexico. It breeds almost exclusively along the outer northern coast of Alaska. Fairly common migrant in Washington, fresh water. Uncommon on coastal bays.
